Overview

LATENT (LATN) and MANIFEST (MNFS) are designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe that your photos, your data, and your creative work belong exclusively to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information — or more accurately, how we don't.

Information We Don't Collect

Your Photos

All photos captured with LATN and developed in MNFS are stored locally on your device. We never upload, access, or process your images on any server.

Personal Information

We don't collect your name, email, location, or any other personal identifiers. No account creation is required to use our apps.

Usage Data

We don't track how you use the apps, which features you access, or how often you shoot. Your creative process is yours alone.

Device Information

We don't collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or technical specifications. Your device information stays on your device.

How Your Data Is Stored

All data created by LATN and MNFS is stored exclusively on your device using the following methods:

Photos: Saved to your device's Photos library or app-specific storage, entirely under your control.
Film Rolls: Stored as local app data on your device, synchronized between LATN and MNFS via local device sharing.
App Settings: Saved using iOS standard UserDefaults, stored locally on your device.
Custom LUTs: Imported .cube files remain on your device and are never uploaded.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any information with third parties. Our apps do not integrate with:

Analytics services (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, etc.)
Advertising networks or tracking pixels
Social media SDKs or data collection frameworks
Cloud storage services (unless you explicitly choose to back up via iCloud)

App Store and Apple

When you download our apps from the App Store, Apple may collect certain information as part of their standard operations, including:

App download and purchase information
Crash logs and technical diagnostics (if you opt in)
App Store usage analytics

This data collection is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We do not have access to this information.

Device Permissions

Our apps may request access to the following device features:

Camera

Required to capture photos in LATN. Photos are stored locally.

Photos Library

Required to save developed images and import LUT files. Access is limited to your explicit actions.

Network

Used exclusively for MNFS Pro subscription to unlock unlimited development. No photo data is transmitted.

Data Security

While we don't store your data on our servers, we take the following measures to protect your local data:

App data is protected by iOS standard security mechanisms
Photos exported to your Photos library inherit your device's security settings
No network transmission of your photos or data occurs within our apps

Your Rights

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

Access: All your photos and film rolls are immediately accessible within the apps.
Deletion: You can delete any photo, film roll, or app data at any time through the apps' interfaces.
Export: You can export your developed photos to your Photos library or share them as you see fit.
App Removal: Uninstalling the apps removes all associated local data from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
